The kindergarten registration period for the 2013 – 2014 school year is Thursday, March 7, 2013 thru May 9, 2013. It’s as easy as going to the school you are zoned for and giving them the necessary forms and paperwork. Registration on March 7th and May 9th will be from 5 – 7 PM. To be eligible for kindergarten in 2013-2014 your child must be (5) years of age on or before August 31, 2013. If your child is currently enrolled in a public school Pre-K program, or a state licensed pre-school program he or she will be “grandfathered” in. This means he or she will be eligible for kindergarten as long as his or her birthday is on or before September 30, 2013.
You will need:
- Birth Certificate
- Child’s Social Security Card or Number
- Proof of Address
- Immunization Record on a TN Certificate of Immunization
