About the teacher.........

Mrs. Buckner received her Bachelor's Degree from Lee University, then completed her Master's at UTC.  She taught fifth grade at Arnold Elementary for five years, then moved to Cleveland Middle for one year to teach typing.

For the next 11 years, while being a stay-at-home mom, she taught as adjunct faculty at Cleveland State Community College.  She then returned to the Cleveland City Schools as a computer lab instructor in 1988.  After teaching computer skills at Arnold and Mayfield for the next three years, she became responsible for setting up computers, scanners, TVs, laser disc players, and the first school system connections to the Internet via modem in 28 classrooms as part of the state's 21st Century Classroom initiative.

In addition to her responsibilities as Technology Learning Lab teacher at Arnold, she coordinates the elementary computer program for all Cleveland City elementary schools.  She also serves as the Technology Training Coordinator for Cleveland City Schools.
