FIELD TRIPS Field trips are a very important part of our school activities. We feel that these trips enhance our curriculum. It is essential that all students bring signed permission forms before they are permitted to go on a field trip. There will be ample notification prior to the trips. Parents who are asked to accompany classes on field trips will be asked to care for several students assigned by the teacher. As funds are always limited, parents will be asked to pay their own way. MATERIALS, TEXTBOOKS, TECHNOLOGY Materials Fee Parents should pay the general Materials Fee of $25.00 authorized by the Board of Education. This is not required for enrollment or participation in any school activities. Fees can be waived for any child receiving free or reduced lunch. A Fee Waiver form is included in the registration packet. School-Student Planner Effective communication between school and home is essential. A Student Planner will be provided for each child. This should be taken home each day. Information in the planner may include student work or messages from the teacher. Parents should check this planner nightly and sign at the teacher's request. Textbooks/ Library Books Students are fully responsible for the care of all books that are issued to them. Loss or destruction of these books will result in payment to the school system to replace these books. The school can hold report cards and records if payment is not made. Technology Technology is a very important part of our school program. This equipment i very expensive and must be cared for properly. Therefore, in order for each student to use a computer at Blythe-Bower Elementary School, an agreement must be signed by the student and parent accepting responsibility for damage the student does through negligence or failure to observe the rules.
