Fellowship of Christian Athletes

The purpose of the FCA is to present to athletes and coaches and all whom they influence the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and to share through our lifestyle the joy of this love relationship through serving others. Any 6th, 7th, or 8th grade student (athlete or non-athlete) can join the FCA. Listen for announcements concerning registration which takes place the latter part of August or early September. FCA dues are $2.00 per student and the student will be issued a FCA card to keep all year.

"Praise and Worship" every Wednesday morning in the theater begins at 6:50 a.m. with praise songs and an inspirational speaker. Approximately 6 club meetings are held during the school year. FCA is involved with a minimum of three service projects during the school year.

Our 2003-2004 projects included:

1) "Walk for Life" sponsored by the New Hope Pregnancy Center (collected over $2,100 and was the #1 fundraiser)
2) Christmas "Angel Tree Project" (bought over 300 gifts for underprivileged children in Bradley County)
3) Habitat for Humanity - Partnering with the Student Council to raise $10,000 for a Habitat House for Ray and Lisa Elrod. Many of our FCA students will also volunteer to help build the house.
