Science Olympiad
Science Olympiad is a club designed to give students the opportunity to engage
competitively in the area of science. Many of these activities are hands on
and are designed to develop the established science student and prepare him
or her for competition.
There are twenty-three possible events for students to participate in, representing
all the major areas of science and engineering. Some of the events are Bridge
Builder, Water Quality, Bottle Rocket, Forestry, Naked Egg Drop, Road Scholar,
Robo Billiards, Science Crime Busters, and Storm the Castle.
Parents are also needed to help compile materials and work with students. You
don't need to be very knowledgeable, just very willing. For more information
about events and the National Science Olympiad, check out their website at http://www.soinc.org.
