Youthact
The Youthact Club, a service club for middle school students, is part of the
Rotary family of clubs. Organized in January 2002, the CMS Club was the first
in Tennessee and one of the first term in the Southeast United States. Service Above Self, the Youthact motto, guides the activities of the club. Past service projects include heading a drive for donated items for the Bradley County Emergency Shelter, providing bird feeders/houses for an assisted living facility, tutoring elementary students at the Unity Center, and participating in the Cystic Fibrosis "Great Strides" walkathon.
Students may apply or the faculty may nominate students for membership. A faculty committee screens each application and a limited number of students are invited to join each year. The membership includes sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students.
