Beta Club - 6th Grade

Beta Club is a service organization for students who excel in the classroom and demonstrate positive character traits. In the past the students have participated in the following service projects: collecting "Trauma Bears" for the Cleveland Police Department, filling shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child, making Christmas cards for the Senior Center and collecting items to send to the troops in Iraq. In order to join, a student may not have a grade lower than a B (or an N or a U on the 5th grade report card). There is a one-time membership fee of $13.00 to join the division of the National Beta Club . Students will sign up at the beginning of the year in their homeroom. 6th grade Beta Club meets on sixth grade "Club Day" in room 649.

Beta Club - 7th and 8th Grade

Beta Club is an organization that seeks to serve the community and CMS. There are many needs in our community and we want to help those that don't have the resources with which we have been blessed. Because of this, we like to focus on doing projects geared towards the community such as toy drives and gathering shelter items. We also have an annual 12 Days of Christmas in which Beta students bring gifts for other students at CMS. Names are then drawn on the day of the Christmas program and the gifts are given away. This has been quite successful the last two years.

In order to join Beta Club a student must have an A/B average and maintain good behavior throughout the year. There is a one-time $ 13.00 fee to join the junior division of the National Beta Club. Beta Club meetings take place during activity periods. Cleveland Middle School
