A library is a portal for time travelers. In it you slip into other dimensions,
whether online or in the pages of a book; a time and space continuum governed
only by the imagination. It is our sincere hope to open the doors to our global
information society and give students here at Cleveland Middle School the
interest and tools to navigate its ever-changing venues with confidence,
understanding and pleasure.

|
Here
at Cleveland Middle School's Library Media Center we aspire to:

students to be effective, critical and ethical lifelong users of
ideas and information;
-
offer a warm
and welcoming place for students to discover and enjoy the pleasures
of reading and learning through the use of a variety of media
options;
-
develop and
maintain resources which reinforce and enhance the curricular goals
of the school and the student's expressed intellectual and

"When I look back, I am so
impressed again
with the life-giving power of literature.
If I were a young person today, trying to gain a sense of
myself in the world, I would do that again by reading,
just as I did when I was young."
