Dr. Martin Ringstaff, Director of Schools

Faculty Staff Employee of the Month – October 2011

Karen Seago Hall

“I feel the most rewarding part of my job is coaching teachers and para-professionals with new strategies/techniques on how to develop their teaching skills. Stuart School is a motivating place to work and being surrounded by those who have kids’ interests first is very gratifying.”

Mrs. Hall’s husband is Mack Hall and they have two children; Rheagan (12) and Tripp (5).

Mrs. Hall has been with Cleveland City Schools for 15 years. Prior to that, she attended E.L. Ross Elementary School, Cleveland Junior High, and Cleveland High School (Class of 1990). Mrs. Hall has taught 2nd and 3rd grade before transitioning to the job of Literacy Leader/Instructional Facilitator at Stuart Elementary School. Mrs. Hall is also an assistant coach for the Lady Raider Basketball Team.

We asked Mrs. Hall if she could tell the community one thing about Cleveland City Schools: “As a faculty member of CCS, I have a keen awareness of our faculty’s dedication, heart and service for our students and community. As a former student, I have an abiding love for the Blue. As a parent of two CCS students, I have an overwhelming appreciation for the commitment and enthusiasm teachers have for their students.”

We also asked what is the one thing your coworkers might not know about you? Mrs. Hall was a four-year manager for Pat Summitt and the Tennessee Lady Vol Basketball Team. She had the privilege to be a part of the 1991 National Championship Team. While at UT, She had the chance to meet President Bush in the Rose Garden and Governor McWherter at the Governor’s Mansion. She also got to travel to 23 states and London, England while getting her education paid for. During the visit to England, she saw the Queen and Queen Mum as they left the church in Windsor.
