Health Promotion for StaffWellness opportunities, such as health assessments, healthy lifestyle education and physical fitness activities can be made available to school staff. These opportunities would encourage staff to pursue a healthy lifestyle that contributes to their overall health status. This positive role modeling, and greater commitment to personal health exhibited by staff, can offer transfer to an increased student commitment to health. Health promotion activities on-site have been shown to improve productivity, decrease absenteeism and help reduce insurance costs over time.
Reminder: Your Insurance covers flu and pneumonia vaccines at no cost. Members who participate in the state group insurance program have two options for immunization:
Visit a participating vaccine network pharmacy and present your Caremark prescription card. A complete vaccine network pharmacy list is available once you log in online at www.caremark.com (look in the lower right corner under the heading "Products & Services." You can also call 1-877-522- 8679 and speak to a CVS Caremark representative who can direct you to a vaccine network pharmacy. Please note, this pharmacy list is different from the 30- and 90-day networks. Not all pharmacies participate in the vaccine network.
Visit your regular doctor or convenience clinic and present your medical card. Call the member services number on the back of your card to find a participating doctor or clinic.
