DIRECTIONS TO SWIM MEETS:

Oak Ridge Civic Center
Oak Ridge, TN

Travel Time: 1 1/2 Hours

  1. Take I-75 North to exit 81 (Lenoir City and Oak Ridge).
  2. Go left off the exit ramp- you will be on Hwy 95.
  3. You will travel quite a long way on 95 (pass under I-40, over the river at Melton Hill and along a very windy road through the National Lab reserve) before coming to a split where you can choose to bear right towards Oak Ridge (not left towards Kingston).
  4. Bear right staying on Hwy 95 (now called Oak Ridge Turnpike)
  5. Within a few miles you will begin to cross roads with traffic lights as you travel into downtown Oak Ridge.
  6. The big intersection of Hwy 95 (Oak Ridge Turnpike) and Hwy 62 (Illinois Ave) can be recognized by the large Nissan Dealership on the far corner.
  7. Go through 1 more light and you will see ORHS on the left and the Civic Center on the right.

Tennessee Meiji Gakuin (TMG)
Sweetwater, TN

Travel Time: 45 minutes

  1. Take I-75 to exit #62.
  2. Turn east to Sweetwater.
  3. Go 2 miles.
  4. Turn left on highway 11.
  5. School on left.

Maryville College
Maryville, TN

Travel Time: 1 hour 20 minutes

  1. Take I-75 North to Lenoir City exit (exit 81)
  2. Go Right off of the exit ramp toward Lenoir City- this is Hwy 321.
  3. Go approximately 22 miles to Maryville College on the right.
  4. Take a right into campus.\line Go to the back of the campus. You can go right or left, it is a big loop.
  5. The pool is in the Cooper Athletic building.
  6. Enter in the right end of the building next to the football field

McCallie School
Chattanooga, TN

Travel Time: 40 minutes

  1. Take I-75 to I-24 and follow the signs towards Downtown Chattanooga;
  2. Exit at Belvoir Ave./Germantown Road; the exit will put you on North Terrace Ave. parallel to the interstate;
  3. Go 0.8 miles to Germantown Road;
  4. Turn right on Germantown Road;
  5. Go 0.7 miles to Brainerd Road;
  6. Turn left on Brainerd Road; go 1.0 miles, through Missionary Ridge Tunnel;
  7. Immediately after passing through the tunnel, take the first off-ramp to the right (marked Highway 17),
  8. Before the overpass; at the bottom of the exit ramp, turn left onto Dodds Ave.;
  9. Campus entrance is 1 block on the left.

Sevierville Community Center
Sevierville, TN

Travel Time: 2 hours

  1. Take I 40 to Exit #407
  2. Take a right on to Highway 66.
  3. Go about 9 miles.
  4. Take a left onto Highway 411 (Chapman Highway and Dolly Parton Parkway)
  5. Take a right onto Gary Wade Boulevard.
  6. Take a left onto Bruce Street.
  7. Community Center is in front

Tennessee School for the Deaf
Knoxville, TN

Travel Time: 1 hour 20 minutes

  1. I-75 North merges with I-40 East about 12 miles west of Knoxville
  2. Exit I-40 at exit 388A, James White Parkway
  3. Stay on James White Parkway and cross the South Knoxville Bridge.
  4. At the end of the South Knoxville Bridge, take the Sevier Avenue exit and stay to the right.
  5. Turn right onto Sevier Avenue at the end of the exit.
  6. Just after the railroad tracks, turn to the right onto Island Home Avenue.
  7. At the end of Island Home Avenue, just past the petroleum storage tanks, there are two stone columns. Drive between the columns onto Maplewood.
  8. Turn right at the first road to the right.
  9. Go about one block and turn left onto Island Home Boulevard.
  10. The entrance to the school is at the end of the boulevard.
  11. The pool is in the large building right next to the parking lot.

Baylor School
Chattanooga, TN

Travel Time: 45 minutes

  1. Take I-75 South to I-24 a
  2. Take exit 178 (U.S. 27 North).
  3. After crossing the Tennessee River, take the 5th exit, (U.S. 127, Signal Mountain).
  4. Proceed under the overpass, moving to the left turn lane after the second traffic light.
  5. The entrance to the campus is located on the left at the third traffic light, directly across from Harry's Citgo convenience store.
  6. Park in the Field House parking lot

Clinton Community Center
Clinton, TN

Travel Time: 1 hour 45 minutes

  1. Take I-75 North to I-40
  2. Exit I-40 onto I-140 (Pellissippi Parkway) head North Towards Oak Ridge.
  3. Pellissippi Parkway becomes Highway 62 (Oak Ridge Highway).
  4. Go through Solway, stay in right lane, and cross over the bridge at Melton Hill Lake.
  5. Exit right (east) at the end of the bridge (Edgemoor Road).
  6. Stay on Edgemoore Road until you come to 25W and then turn left (onto 25W).
  7. From 25W go north (left), pass through a red light, cross the green bridge, pass through another red light (across from Burger King)
  8. Turn left on E. Broad Street.
  9. The community Center is on the left at the corner of East Broad and South Hicks Street.

 

Athens YMCA
Athens, TN

Travel Time: 35 minutes

  1. Take I-75 North to exit #49 (Athens/Decatur Exit).
  2. At light #5 turn left.
  3. Turn right on Knoxville, Avenue.
  4. YMCA is 1st building on right.

University of Tennessee
Knoxville, TN

Travel Time: 1 1/2 hours

  1. Take I-40 to Airport Exit (Highway 129)
  2. Exit Kingston Pike & turn left (east) onto Cumberland Avenue
  3. Take a right on the road immediately past the railroad overpass.
  4. This is an entrance to the UT campus.
  5. Turn left at the third street.
  6. Go to stop sign and turn right.
  7. Go to the stop sign, cross the street and you will be in the pool parking lot

 

Smyrna High School
Smyna, TN

Travel Time: 2 1/2 hours, Central Time

  1. Take I-24 N to exit 70
  2. Go right off the ramp through 2 (or maybe 3) lights
  3. Look for the school on the left side of the road.
  4. Pass by the marquis sign and turn into the school.
  5. Drive towards the back of the campus, toward the football field
  6. The pool is in the back right corner of the campus- look for the sign on the building
