The Technology
Student Association is a national non-profit
student organization that helps students learn
about technology through exciting competitive
events. TSA members not only have an opportunity
to learn technological literacy in the classroom,
but they have the chance to extend that learning
by preparing projects for competition at the
local, state, regional, and national levels. They
may also participate in chapter fund-raising
activities and community service projects.
Teamwork and leadership are learned as students
work together on their projects At CMS, TSA meets one Friday a
month during the activity period. Because the
club only meets once a month, students must be
willing to commit after-school and out-of-school
time for preparing their projects. Each member is
required to pay state and national dues of $11.
The TSA chapter advisors are Darlene Odom and
Derek Morris.
