Mayfield Elementary School
The purpose of Drive-In is for families to retrieve personal items that belong to students.
Teachers have packed up all personal items belonging to students and have placed them in a keepsake Mayfield bag.
Drive-In will operate in the same manner as afternoon car pick-up. If you have a car rider tag, please have it visible. Simply pull forward in the pick-up line and someone will approach your vehicle to get names and then we will retrieve the student’s belongings. Please remain in your vehicle at all times.
Opportunities to Drive-In are as follows:
Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd grade - Tuesday, May 12 from 10 a.m. –– 6 p.m.
3rd, 4th, 5th grade – Wednesday, May 13 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
All grades – Thursday, May 14 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Families with multiple students attending Mayfield may pick up all belongings in a single drive-in visit.
Please look around your house for items that belong to the school (library books, reading group books, etc.).
If a student feels that something is missing, please contact the teacher by email to give specific information.
We hope that you have a wonderful summer break and we look forward to seeing you on July 28 for our ‘Welcome Back’ event. Information about online registration will be sent out soon. Please take advantage of the online registration in order to save time in July.

If you are registering as a new student in the Cleveland City Schools, please contact Michael Kahrs via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Schools are currently not open due to the COVID-19 pandemic and you will not be able to enter a school to register in person. Please know current lessons are available online at https://www.ccsathomelearning.com and paper copies are available at each school or at our public feeding locations. Those locations are listed on our website at www.clevelandschools.org. Mr. Kahrs will provide you with additional information, but to be enrolled in our district you must show proof of address, must be a student in good standing in your current district, and you must provide official school records.
Updates Regarding the Corona Virus (COVID-19) and Cleveland City Schools:
On March 16, Tennessee Governor Bill Lee issued a statement urging school closures related to the COVID-19 virus. Bradley County and Cleveland City Schools will follow this recommendation to remain closed through March 31, 2020. As new information develops, we will continue to update the community. No school activities will take place during this closure - sports, field trips, fine arts, etc. All ballfields, gymnasiums, schools, etc. are closed and considered off-limits unless permission is granted in advance by the school administration. All CDC and Tennessee Department of Health regulations will be followed regarding public events.
The school breakfast and lunch program offered by both districts will continue throughout the closure. As a reminder, any student 18 or under may obtain a free breakfast or lunch at any of the locations mentioned on our websites and social media pages.
Our academic continuation plans are underway and will be shared with the public as soon as possible this week. Please continue to check your emails, our websites, and social media for future updates.
Thank you for trusting us with your child’s education and we will do all we can to ensure a quality education is achieved by all students.

Mayfield School exists to prepare, support, celebrate, and inspire students in a safe, nurturing environment.
Mayfield has been a provider of quality education in the Cleveland community since 1928. The primary purpose for our existence is to provide challenging opportunities for our students to learn and grow, moving them forward on their personal path of success. The faculty and staff at Mayfield take this endeavor seriously and approach each lesson with intentionality and purpose.
As an educator it is exciting to witness the transformation as students engage their senses to draw in information and begin to make connections that lead to other powerful learning. We look forward to an exciting academic experience and the opportunity to serve you and your family at Mayfield Elementary School.

Different Nests, but all EAGLES!
We are so excited to continue our PBIS program!
Our students, faculty, and all staff members are sorted into eagle nests, the Blue Nest, the Red Nest, the Green Nest, and the Yellow Nest. Students get points for being caught doing positive things. The Nest with the most points each week gets a reward.
8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
8:15 AM - 3:45 PM
The building will open at 7:40 AM for students.
All students receive breakfast and lunch free of charge!
Breakfast will be served from 7:40 AM - 8:15 AM.
It is important that students are in their class and ready to begin at 8:30 AM. Students not in their room at this time are considered tardy.
Students arriving after 8:30 AM must be signed in at the front office by an adult.
Students checked out early will be given a "tardy" for that day.
Car Riders should be picked up no later than 4:00 PM. Those picking up after that time will need to sign out students in the Front Office.
