Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. Caleb Bolanos
I was born in San Jose, Costa Rica. I moved to the USA when I was 11 years old, and didn't know a word of English. I graduated from Putnam City High School in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in 1993. I received an Associate of Arts Degree in music from Emmanuel College, and a bachelor of music Education in vocal and instrumental music from Lee University.
I began teaching in 1998. I taught at Arnold Elementary for 2 years. During my third year I traveled to Cleveland High School, Stuart Elementary, and Blythe-Bower Elementary teaching students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade. Then I had the priviledge of moving to CMS when the new building opened and have remained here.
I've been married to my lovely wife Karla since June 2000 and we have a son Sloan, and a daughter Hope. Karla is also a teacher. Sloan loves all things soccer, and Hope loves to sing and ride horses. My wife and I are also very involved in the music ministry at our church, North Cleveland Church of God, where I play trumpet and help lead the orchestra.
I love sharing the gift of music with young people! It is my passion to instill in them the desire to become the best they can be through what we learn in music.
