Student Information

We are thrilled to welcome students to Cleveland High School for the 2023-2024 school year! Please review some important information as we prepare for the new year!

eFunds & Paying Student Fees Online
You can pay student fees by using the following link: https://payments.efundsforschools.com/v3/districts/56035/

Enrollment & Registration
If you haven't enrolled your child yet, we kindly ask you to do so as soon as possible. Both returning and new students can easily enroll on our enrollment page. Please be aware that failure to enroll may result in withdrawal from school and the loss of their place in a class, and we definitely want to avoid that!

Laptop Deployment
Cleveland High School will host its Laptop Deployment on Wednesday, August 2, and Thursday, August 3 from 4 pm to 8 pm, with doors closing around 7:45 pm. We invited our families to enter through our newly renovated entrance. Families will have an opportunity to walk through the building and find classroom assignments for their students.

  • Wednesday, August 2 - Seniors and Juniors

  • Thursday, August 3 - Sophomore and Freshman

Students will have the opportunity to receive their laptops and chargers for the new academic year. Additionally, a $40 BLADE Technology Usage Fee could be paid in cash, check, or card during the event. Students who hadn't returned their computers and chargers from the previous year were reminded to settle any outstanding charges before receiving their new devices.

New School Hours
For the 2023-2024 academic year, Cleveland City Schools will be implementing new school hours. Middle and high school students will attend classes from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., while elementary school students will have classes from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Reconnection Days
Cleveland City Schools will have two reconnection days during the first week of school. On Monday, August 7, students with last names beginning A-K will attend a full day of school. On Tuesday, August 8, students with last names beginning L-Z will also attend a full day. Then, on Wednesday, August 9th, we expect all students to be present for their classes. This will provide an opportunity for students to reconnect with their peers and teachers after the break.

Transportation Details
For those who have registered their child for transportation services, you will receive a notification about their bus number, stop, and pick-up time approximately one week before classes commence, provided they are eligible for bus transportation. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our transportation department at 423-472-9576.

PowerSchool
We encourage all our families to use PowerSchool, a powerful tool that allows you to access essential information about your child's schedules, grades, and attendance. Class placements for students at Arnold Memorial Elementary School will be mailed out on Monday, July 17th.

Additional Information

We are excited to announce that all students will receive breakfast and lunch free of charge.

Lastly, we want to remind parents that students arriving after 7:30 AM will be considered tardy and must be checked in by our office staff.

We are looking forward to an exceptional school year at Cleveland High School! If you have any further questions or need assistance, please feel free to reach out to us. Together, we will make this academic year a rewarding and successful one for our students.

Thank you for your support, and we can't wait to see you all on the first day of school!
