🏆⭐ We are proud to share that our school has been designated a Tennessee Reward School by the Tennessee Department of Education for the 2024–25 school year! This honor is the state’s highest recognition for public schools and reflects exceptional overall performance and growth. We are so proud of our Thunderbirds and Thunderbird Staff for this accomplishment! 🏆⭐
✅ What does “Reward School” mean?
To earn this distinction, a school must:
Achieve an overall school rating of at least 3.1 on TDOE’s 4-point accountability scale.
Demonstrate strong results across all key performance areas — not only overall student achievement and academic growth, but also consistent success among all student groups.
Perform well on additional indicators, including student attendance (reducing chronic absenteeism) and, where applicable, support for English-language learners (ELPA growth) and subgroup performance.
✅ Being named a Reward School means that our school is among the top-performing in Tennessee for the 2024–25 year. It reflects the hard work and dedication of our students, teachers, and staff — and the support and partnership we enjoy with our families. This recognition recognizes that we’re not only helping students meet academic expectations but that we’re growing, reaching, and supporting all learners. We are incredibly proud of this achievement, and we thank you — our families — for being a vital part of the learning community that made this possible!
