๐On September 16, 2025, the Cleveland High School boys varsity cross country team dominated the Woodland Park Meet Two, securing first place with a team score of 59 points. ๐
The Raiders edged out strong competition from Franklin County High School (67 points) and CSTHEA Patriots High School (71 points) in the 5000-meter race, showcasing impressive depth and speed early in the season.
The teamโs top seven varsity performers delivered standout efforts, with the following names, places, and times:โข Noah Dycus (12th grade), 3rd place, 17:00.71โข Cole Rodgers (12th grade), 5th place, 17:29.83โข Micah Bowers (10th grade), 10th place, 17:58.66โข Levi Green (10th grade), 12th place, 18:07.40โข Jack Chapman (9th grade), 33rd place, 19:11.02โข Sawyer Neeper (9th grade), 25th place in JV, 23:09.41โข Bolen Bryant (10th grade), 27th place in JV, 23:17.13
These efforts contributed to a total time of 1:29:48 for the scoring five, highlighting the teamโs potential for a strong 2025 campaign.
While the girls team did not field a full scoring squad missing one of our key runners, Clevelandโs top four varsity runners turned in remarkable performances, each achieving their best times of the year so far.
Lucy Hearn led the way with a stellar 2nd-
place finish in 19:52.55, setting a high bar with her season-best effort that demonstrated improved pacing and endurance. Annie Hill followed closely in 7th place with a time of 21:37.71, marking her fastest run this year through consistent training and race strategy. Phoebe Hearn secured 10th place in 21:52.94, hitting a new season best that reflected her growing confidence on the course. Rounding out the group, Lily Hakes placed 31st in 24:40.93, achieving her top time of 2025 with a focused push in the latter stages of the race.
The Raidersโ performances at Woodland Park signal exciting prospects for the remainder of the season. ๐๐

Every morning, Principal Mr. Pritchard goes above and beyond by carving out time to visit our RISE classes, jumping in to co-teach and support our students on their path to success.
His dedication, humility, and hands-on approach show exactly why heโs the best leader we could ask for. Weโre so grateful for our fearless principal who leads not just with words but with action. ๐

๐บ๐ธ A Moving Tribute at Cleveland High ๐บ๐ธ This morning, our talented band members filled every hallway with the solemn notes of Taps, creating a powerful moment of reflection as students and teachers paused to honor the lives lost on the tragic events of 9/11, 24 years ago. Their music reminded us all of the importance of remembrance, unity, and respect for those who were taken too soon. ๐๐คโค๏ธ #NeverForget

๐บ๐ธ Raider Pride on Full Display! ๐บ๐ธ
Today, our incredible Cleveland High School JROTC cadets honored the memory of 9/11 by walking 2,200 stepsโthe equivalent of the 110 floors of the World Trade Center. Their dedication to remembering the devastation our country faced 24 years ago is inspiring and humbling.
This powerful tribute reminds us why itโs always a great day to be a Raider. ๐๐คโค๏ธ
