Chronic absenteeism means missing too much school! Students are considered chronically absent when they miss 10 percent or more of school days due to absence for any reason—excused or unexcused. These absences can turn into students having difficulty learning to read by the third-grade, achieving in middle school, and graduating from high school. Attendance matters and every second counts!

Today we celebrated our own College & Career Tech Day! Students & staff wore their favorite college or career tech shirt! Some have better taste than others😉😉

ATTENTION: Color Run Form Deadline has been EXTENDED to Monday Sept. 18. Please turn into your classroom teacher by noon Monday! This event is one of our main fundraisers for the school year.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Cleveland City Schools will be closed today due to the receipt of emails late last night at multiple schools that may be interpreted as threats. The Cleveland Police Department is actively investigating, and we intend to resume regular operations on Friday.

Most children miss a few days of school each year without long-term consequences. However, when students miss too many days, the effects are almost always negative. We are always working to make our school environment a place where everyone is safe, healthy, & ready to learn.🐾

Child Car Safety Day is Sept. 30. Visit Westwood Baptist Church to have your child seat inspected and fun games and pumpkin painting activities for kids! This FREE event will be lots of fun for all ages! #CommunityMatters

Tonight was a special time for our Stuart family. Our auditorium was named after former principal Don Goff. So many people came to honor his legacy. We were very proud to have his family on hand as well! 🐾🔴⚫️🐾
