Our 3rd grade team wrapped up Unit 2: Animals, by transforming their rooms into a bat habitat. Students researched bat characteristic, compared them to other animals, and conducted simple science experiments to better understand vocabulary. IT WAS EPIC!

Chronic absenteeism means missing too much school! Students are considered chronically absent when they miss 10 percent or more of school days due to absence for any reason—excused or unexcused. These absences can turn into students having difficulty learning to read by the third-grade, achieving in middle school, and graduating from high school. Attendance matters and every second counts!
