August is such a busy time of year for families. Take the night off on Thursday & grab dinner at DQ! Be sure to tell them you are with Ross & Yates and they will donate 10% of sales to our school!
We enjoyed having the new Sweet Caroline Cheesecakes food truck at Ross on Friday. Their cheesecakes are delicious & they are such a sweet supporter of our schools!
The day students have been waiting for is coming soon! On Friday, students will participate in our annual House Selection Ceremony. Current members of Amistad, Intrepidus, Phantasticus, and Sapientia will welcome new students & staff members to their houses. Let the games begin!
Do you know a student starting Kindergarten in August with Cleveland City Schools? Our 2022-23 Kindergarten Enrollment event will be held next Saturday 3/26 at CHS Raider Arena from 8:00-3:30. Yates Primary's preferred time is 8:00-9:30 am for students living in the Yates school zone.
Please bring:
1. Birth Certificate or Proof of Birth
2. Proof of Residency (rent receipt, utility bill, mortgage statement)

Just a reminder to place your orders for Ross/Yates Spirit Wear before the online shop closes TOMORROW! Shirts will be delivered to the school before Christmas break. If you are buying a gift & want to keep it a surprise, email sstone@clevelandschools.org with the name you ordered under & we will hold your shirts in the office for you to pick up instead of sending home with your student.

Join us on Tuesday, 12/7 from 6:00-7:30 pm for the Ross Holiday Family Night! Families can enjoy singing, ornament-making, & book fair shopping. Each grade level will host a holiday mini-concert in the gym: 3rd grade at 6:00, 4th grade at 6:30, & 5th grade at 7:00!
All parents are invited to a joint Ross/Yates PTO meeting this Tuesday 11/16 in the Yates Cafeteria!

Just a reminder to our families that Monday 1/4 is an inservice day for teachers. Tuesday-Friday, students will attend one reconnection day, depending on last name (see attached image). Contact your child’s teacher if you are unsure of which day your child should attend. We hope you had a wonderful holiday break, and we are excited to see our students starting on Tuesday!
Our cross country teams competed this evening at the CCS Deb Hart meet. Thank you to Coach Frazier for all of your hard work coaching these athletes & thank you to the 5th grade teachers for showing up to help out and cheer on our teams. Congratulations to all of our runners!
