Dear Staff, Students, Board of Education, and Community Members,
As I write this letter, I am overwhelmed with a mix of emotions—sadness at leaving behind cherished memories and relationships, excitement for the new journey ahead, and above all, gratitude for the incredible experiences we've shared together.
Serving as the Cleveland City Schools Director of Schools has been an honor and privilege beyond words. Over the years, I have been continually inspired by the dedication, passion, and resilience displayed by each and every one of you—staff, students, board members and community members alike.
To our fantastic and dedicated employees: Your unwavering commitment to excellence in education has been the driving force behind our collective success. Your creativity, professionalism, and tireless efforts have transformed challenges into opportunities, and I am immensely proud of all that we have accomplished together. I am grateful for the camaraderie, support, and invaluable lessons learned through our collaboration.
To the bright and talented students: You are the heart and soul of our educational community. Your enthusiasm, curiosity, and thirst for knowledge have been a constant source of inspiration for me. It has been a privilege to witness your growth, both academically and personally, and I have no doubt that you will continue to achieve great things in the future. Remember, the sky is the limit, and never underestimate your potential to make a positive impact on the world.
To the wider community: Your unwavering support and partnership have been instrumental in shaping the success of our schools. Whether through volunteering, advocacy, or simply cheering from the sidelines, your involvement has made a tangible difference in the lives of our students. I am deeply grateful for your trust, collaboration, and the sense of belonging that you have fostered within our community.
As I prepare to embark on a new chapter in my career and personal journey, I carry with me cherished memories of our time together. While I may be bidding farewell to this chapter of my life, please know that I leave with a heart full of gratitude and a profound sense of pride in all that we have achieved together.
