Cleveland City Schools is pleased to host the Class of 2024 graduation ceremony at Cleveland High School’s Raider Arena at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 10. 

Please read important information regarding the upcoming graduation ceremony. 

Arrival
Graduates are required to arrive in the CHS lunchroom at least 45 minutes before the start of the ceremony for registration and final instructions. Only graduates in the lunchroom at this time, please.

Tickets
Each graduating senior will receive a packet with 8 tickets for family and friends to attend the ceremony. Tickets will be given out after the mandatory graduation practice on Thursday, May 9th to each graduate. Graduates do not need a ticket to attend.  We will have the graduation live stream in the CHS Theater and at Benny Monroe Stadium for guests who don't have tickets. 

Graduation Attire
All graduates are expected to wear the designated graduation attire, which includes the graduation gown, cap, and tassel. In addition, graduates are asked to wear business professional attire, such as dresses, dress shirts, dress pants, and ties with no jeans. Please note that high heels are not recommended as they may cause difficulty in walking across the stage. Only school-issued regalia will be allowed. Seniors are not permitted to decorate their graduation caps. Please reserve other decorations for before or after the ceremony.

Photos
We will be sending out detailed information about professional photos closer to the ceremony.

Debts
All debts to Cleveland High School must be paid in full in order to walk at the graduation ceremony. Please contact the bookkeeper, Cindy Wagers, in the main office to pay the fees. Her email is cwagers@clevelandschools.org

Transcripts
Students and families are encouraged to make their final transcript request and submit their post-secondary plans to inform Cleveland High School about their intentions after graduation. Please ensure your post-secondary plans are submitted by Thursday, April 25th. If you have taken any dual enrollment classes at Lee or Cleveland State, remember to visit their respective college websites to request transcripts to be sent to your new school.

Parking
Parents and guests are encouraged to arrive at least 45 minutes before the start of the ceremony to secure their seats. There will be parking lots available around Cleveland High School for attendees to park their vehicles. 

Live Stream
For those unable to attend, a live stream of the graduation ceremony will be available on the CHSLive Facebook page and CHSLive YouTube Channel.

Cap Toss
Weather permitting, seniors will exit the ceremony and walk as a class to Raider Field for a countdown to the senior cap toss. Parents are welcome to follow the group for photos on the field.

We ask our students and guests to conduct themselves in a professional manner. Please do not bring air horns, balloons, banners, and cowbells to the ceremony.
