Cleveland Middle School hosted its Annual Spelling Bee on Tuesday night. It's an exciting time to showcase our students' talents in academics.
Students ranked in the Top 5:
- 1st Place - Samuel Cash
- 2nd Place - Neel Patel
- 3rd Place - Alberto Martinez
- 4th Place - Elif Unsal
- 5th Place - Jack Chapman
Last year, Samuel Cash won the Spelling Bee at Cleveland Middle School. He went on to place 2nd in the Regional Bee. Neel Patel has placed in the top 3 positions every year he has participated in the Spelling Bee at CMS. It was Alberto Martinez and Jack Chapman's first year competing in the CMS Spelling Bee. Elif Unsal is from Turkey and has been in the United States for 6 years. English is her second language. She made it to 4th place as a sixth grader!
The Tennessee Titans are the new sponsors for the Regional Spelling Bee. Samuel Cash will advance to an online test. If he places in the top 50 in the state, he will compete in the Regional Bee at the Titan Stadium on Saturday, March 4, 2023.
