NATIONAL SCHOOL LUNCH WEEK🥪 We are celebrating National School Lunch Week! This year's theme is Peace, Love, and School Lunch👏 We thank you for all your hard work!

Members of the American Welding Society took time to visit with our welding students at Cleveland High School today! This program has grown significantly in the last year! 👏

The Family Advisory Council, consisting of PTO and Booster Club Presidents from our schools, met today with Dr. Dyer and Dr. Elliott to discuss the good things students and families are experiencing in our schools and areas they believe we as a system can do better. Thank you to our PTO and booster clubs for their ongoing support of Cleveland City Schools!

On Tuesday, University of Tennessee, Knoxville President Randy Boyd and The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Chancellor Steve Angle talked to CHS juniors and seniors about the UT Promise scholarship program! 🧡💙💛 UT Promise is an undergraduate scholarship program that guarantees free tuition and mandatory fees for qualifying Tennessee residents attending UT's campuses in Knoxville, Chattanooga, Pulaski, Memphis, and Martin. This scholarship covers a student’s last-dollar amount of tuition and mandatory fees after another financial aid is applied (such as Pell grants, HOPE scholarships, or other institutional scholarships) to students who qualify for HOPE and whose family household income is under $60,000 a year. UT Promise is a student-success-oriented scholarship program that requires students to complete volunteer service hours and meet with a volunteer mentor each semester to ensure a successful student experience.

Today is National School Lunch Hero Day! We want to celebrate our school cafeteria employees and thank them for the work they do. Every one of them is an important part of our school nutrition team and their love for the students and commitment to their work shines through every day. We are monitoring the potential for severe weather conditions on Wednesday, April 6. School will be on a regular schedule, but due to the threat of severe weather, Cleveland City Schools will cancel all after-school activities on Wednesday, April 6. Please be weather aware.

Raider Rescue Mobile Clinic: Today the COVID testing program at CCS will become mobile. CCS has acquired a mobile testing clinic to serve students and faculty through the continued unknowns of the pandemic. You can learn more here: clv.city/raiderrescue

Cleveland City Schools will operate on a 2 hour delay today, Wednesday, February 23, 2022 due to flooding conditions. Busses will run 2 hours later than their normally scheduled time.

Cleveland City Schools will resume a regular school day tomorrow, Thursday, January 20, 2022. We look forward to having everyone back in the building.

Due to the high level of staff absences, Cleveland City Schools will be closed on Wednesday, January 19, 2022.

Due to the possibility of icy road conditions in the morning, Tuesday, January 18th Cleveland City Schools will be closed. This will include all after school activities as well.

Cleveland City Schools will be closed on Monday, January 17, 2022 to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Classes resume on Tuesday, January 18, 2022.
