Teacher Feature: Sam Brannon, Stuart Elementary

We are so excited to welcome Ms. Sam Brannon to Cleveland City Schools!

Ms. Brannon received a degree in K-5 Elementary with an ESL endorsement from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2021. It didn’t take long for her to realize her heart belonged in a second-grade classroom.

“I’ve always wanted to work with kids,” Brannon said.

After hearing such great things about Cleveland City Schools, she decided to start her career in elementary education.

“I was told Cleveland City Schools is a great school system, a place you would want to retire,” Brannon said.

Ms. Brannon started her first official year as a 2nd-grade teacher at Stuart Elementary School in August. She said the culture and staff helped make the transition seamless.

“I had so many teachers offer to help me when I first started, people who didn’t even know me,” Brannon said. “There’s always someone willing to help me. We are truly like family.”

Principal Kim Bradford said her positive attitude fits perfectly with the Stuart family.

“Sam Brannon is an amazing educator whose skills and knowledge support students in the classroom,” Bradford said. “Her engaging lessons cause students to exercise curiosity, while she builds strong positive relationships with our school families. Stuart Elementary is grateful for Ms. Brannon's impact on our school community!”

We are so grateful for Ms. Brannon’s hard work and dedication to her students!
