tango flight program

Cleveland High School is grateful to receive a $10,000 grant from the Bradley Cleveland Public Education Foundation to enhance the school’s Tango Flight Program and expand learning opportunities for students interested in aviation and aerospace careers.

The Tango Flight Program is a hands-on aviation initiative that provides students with real-world experience in aviation systems, flight operations, and aerospace technology. This funding will build upon the strong foundation already in place by supporting curriculum enhancements, additional staff training, and improved tools and resources that further prepare students for success beyond high school.

Grant funds will support:

β€’ Enhancements to existing curriculum aligned with current industry standards
β€’ Specialized training for instructors and lab staff
β€’ Certification and compliance needs connected to aviation programming
β€’ Updated equipment, materials, and tools that strengthen hands-on learning

β€œWe are thankful for the continued support of the Bradley Cleveland Public Education Foundation and their belief in our students,” said Randall Stephens, Supervisor of Career Technical Education for Cleveland City Schools. β€œThis grant allows us to strengthen an already impactful program, deepen learning experiences, and continue building clear pathways for students interested in aviation and related fields.”

Cleveland High School Principal Bob Pritchard emphasized the importance of investing in programs that are already making a difference.

β€œThis grant helps us grow and strengthen a program that is already opening doors for our students,” Pritchard said. β€œWe are proud of the work happening in our aviation program and grateful for partners who believe in our students, our teachers, and the future they are building together.”

Funds will be put to use immediately, with curriculum enhancements and instructor training beginning this semester, followed by additional program improvements. Students will benefit from enriched instruction, expanded hands-on experiences, and stronger connections to the aviation field.
